Awesome? You tell me!
So, my boyfriend just bought me these shoes--I know! he's a keeper!! But I was an idiot and wore them for the first time on a day we did a lot of walking and I got big-ass blisters. And obviously I can't not wear these super cute shoes, but I also can't have nasty blisters, either, so someone please help!!
I've never tried this band-aid blister block stick but I read in some magazine last week that it works really well. Has anyone tried it--does anyone know? Is it as awesome as it sounds like it could be?! And if anyone else has a good blister prevention method, please, please share--I know I can't be the only person with such a conundrum this time of year...*
* the sad thing is if it comes between cute shoes or pain-free feet, you know I'm totally picking the shoes.
AH! I just linked to your site from a friend and saw MY NEW FAVORITE PRODUCT! I call it Foot Lube, as that is exactly what it is. It WORKS. Also, it's small, so you can toss it in your purse and reapply when you feel the evil of your shoes trying to infiltrate your flawless feet.
It just lubes up your feet so your shoes can't dig in. I haven't used it against a REALLY nasty shoe edge yet, but for general sockless wear of cute/new/problematic shoes, it's worked wonders so far this "spring."

Thank you--I'm glad to hear it works!

Bodyglide, which is a product marketed to athletes to prevent chafing, also works really well in this department.

When I backpacked through Asia these puppies were my best friend. They're AMAZING, I even wear them now with heels sometimes.

i looked at the label of this the other day, and it's just petroleum jelly in a stick. nothing more. i was kind of disappointed. but cheaper than bodyglide, at least!

I just bought some of this, too, but haven't tried it, yet. I, too, have several pair of cute shoes that cause me pain, and I'm looking forward to trying this stuff. Another item I really like is Moleskin - a soft felt on one side and sticky stuff on the other. I've used it to protect against the rough back of thin leather straps. Works pretty well.
